March 16, 2020
Due to the escalation in the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to close the office for a couple weeks. The health and safety of our patients and staff remains our top priority. While we have increased our infection-control precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our office, we feel that as healthcare professionals, it is our responsibility to encourage our patients to stay home and away from crowded or public spaces during this critical time. We hope that by closing the office, we can help reduce the risk of infection.
We are still available for dental emergencies only. If you are having a dental emergency, or you have any urgent questions or concerns, please call us at our Vernon office 860-871-2618. We will be closed from Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 until Tuesday, April 7th, 2020.
As always, we are closely monitoring the situation and the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, the CT Department of Public Health, the American Dental Association, and the State and Federal Government. We will update you with any changes.
We thank all of you for your continued patience and support throughout this ever-changing situation. We hope you all stay healthy and safe during this difficult time, and remind everyone to wash your hands frequently.

Robert J. Zatz, D.M.D. has been practicing family dentistry in South Windsor, CT since 1987. He grew up in New York City and New Jersey, graduating from Rutgers University in 1983 with a Bachelors degree in Human Physiology. Dr. Zatz attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1987. In addition to his practice in South Windsor, Dr. Zatz has treated patients in the Putnam, Derby and Waterbury areas of the state. Dr. Zatz loves helping his patients to enjoy their dental visits as much as possible. To help this to happen, he provides one on one care with an emphasis on "pain free" dental care, aided by good conversation and a light hearted atmosphere.
"When you choose a dentist, you need someone who will look after your needs first. My practice philosophy is to provide only the finest quality dentistry possible while respecting my patient’s needs and wants; to make my patient’s dental experiences as pleasant and comfortable as I’d want them to be for myself; to stay on the cutting edge in techniques and materials, and to prevent as much dental disease as possible by a combination of conservative dentistry, preventative dentistry, and patient education."
Denisa Karami, RDH
Denisa has been a practicing dental hygienist since 2012. Before joining our practice in 2014 she worked in diverse dental offices throughout Connecticut. While she prides herself in her clinical skills and calm chairside manner, her favorite part of being a hygienist is the opportunity to make a connection and genuinely care for each one of our patients. The relationships she builds with patients are centered on educating and motivating them towards an optimum state of oral health.
Outside of the office she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family, cooking, and going to live concerts and standup comedy shows.
Kimberly Cote-Sharp, RDH
Kimberly is a Connecticut native with over 30 years of experience in the dental field, the last 22 years as a hygienist. She loves that her career has given her the opportunity to really connect and build long term relationships with her patients. Kim will always welcome you with a warm smile and make your dental experience with us a pleasant one.
In her down time, Kim loves nothing more than spending time outside exploring new laces with her family, curling up with a gread read, or just hanging out with her kids.
Tammy, Office Manager
Tammy traded in her flip flops for snow boots when she moved to CT from Southern California in 2015. She brings over twenty years of customer service experience to the table with positions ranging from movie theater manager to a visitor services coordinator for the California Welcome Center. In her role as office manager, she strives to make everyone’s visit to the dentist a pleasant one. If you ran into Tammy outside the office, she’d likely give you a smile and tell you about the new places she and her husband had discovered traveling around in the area. She loves patient recommendations for new places to explore in New England.
